Making offerings to deities is an integral part of Buddhist practice. Offerings can take many forms, including, food, incense, and flowers. Seven distinct offerings are typically placed in offering bowls and arranged in a straight line before the deity in a shrine room or shrine cabinet. Offerings are a poignant way of expressing our appreciation and gratitude. They remind us of the interdependence between all beings.
