Disguising yourself, revealing yourself, and becoming someone new—these are some of the joys of creative writing. A roomful of masks, then, is a writer’s treasure chest. Focusing on the exhibition, Becoming Another: The Power of Masks, we will play with identity, creation, and expression in writing. You will hear your own writing voice more clearly as you explore concealment and masquerade through gallery visits, discussion, in-class and at-home writing.
No experience necessary. All materials included. Registration required, as space is limited.
Class Participants will meet at the Rubin Museum Education Center located at 132 W. 17th Street. Doors open at 5:45 PM.
