Patsy Rodenburg was just named by the London Times No. 15 in a list of the 100 most influential people working in British theater today. She is one of the world’s leading voice and acting coaches, having worked with Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, and Nicole Kidman, to name but a few, and with many of the world’s greatest theaters, including the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Donmar, and Theatre de Complicite. She talks to writer Christopher Potter about being in the moment and how being “present” is a powerful tool for actors and non-actors alike.
