Math and Mandalas

Mandalas play an important role in Himalayan art. They are geometric representations of celestial palaces, and their symmetry and balance integrate both math and the arts.This professional development workshop will share information about mandalas through gallery conversations, movement activities, and art making. Teachers of grades three to twelve will discover connections to Common Core State Standards and will take away valuable resources and information for working across curriculum areas.
