In this workshop hosted by the Rubin Museum of Art’s shop, textile artist Hemangini Singh will take you on a journey into the rich history of Indian wood hand-block printing and share her practice of this tradition. You will have an opportunity to create and take home your own block-print art!
The workshop will be followed by a sale of hand-block-printed merchandise designed by Hemangini Singh.

About the Artist
Hemangini Singh draws her inspiration from the beauty and craftsmanship of Indian folk art, creating textiles that express a unique East-meets-West aesthetic. She melds traditional craft techniques with modern designs to create a collection of innovative pieces, helping to ensure that traditional handcraft techniques are promoted and preserved for future generations.
