ASIAN STUDIES CIRCLE- TOUR AND RECEPTION

Please join the Asian Studies Circle at the Rubin Museum of Art on Wednesday, September 25, for a unique opportunity to tour the exhibition, From India East: Sculpture of Devotion from the Brooklyn Museum, with Jan Van Alphen, Director of Exhibitions, Collections & Research at the Museum. The works on view trace the development of Buddhist and Hindu sculpture to its roots in the art of ancient India. The year-long exhibition includes art from Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, and Japan. The tour will be followed by a reception the Museum’s Café Serai.

Exhibition Tour: 5:30 PM Meets in Lobby.

Begins promptly at 6:00 PM. Meets in Lobby.

Reception in Cafe Serai: 6:15 – 7:00 PM
